Teams fly over 2,600 miles to the country Bangladesh on this leg of the race. At the airport, all teams catch up for their 10 a.m. flight. This means slow pokes Will and Gary are currently in the same place as frontrunners Abbie and Ryan, shocker.
Once the teams land in Dhaka, Bangladesh, they have to find the motorshop. While teams scurry the streets looking for a taxi cab, Rob and Kelley find one at the taxi stand. They are the first to find a cab and are in the lead of the pack.
Roadblock: Who wants to fill in the gaps?
One team member must repair a bus. They have to add body putty to its side, sand down the bus, and remove 3 pairs of seats from the bus to the refurbishing station. This is a man’s challenge which posed a challenge for the all-girls team from Sri Lanka. Natalie had no difficulties as she held her own.
The men are having the difficulties now. Ryan accidently destroyed half of his clue. James can’t put body putty on the bus smooth. James and Ryan teamed up to help each other out in this roadblock. They shared tips and the rest of the clue. They are pushing each other to work faster and be #1.
“Long, Strong, Hard!”
The twin girls are getting on everyone’s nerve. Nadiya tries to motivate her sister to work faster by chanting phrases like “long, strong, hard” and “twinee.” The other teams are sick of her positive remarks to her teammate. They describe it as nails to a chalkboard.
For James, this might not be the most annoying thing in the challenge. He has to start all over because his putty left the side of the bus too bumpy and not smooth. James has to scrape off everything and start again. Other teams had to do this too.
Abbie and Ryan finish first to retrieve their next clue. Teams have to go to the Kawran Bazaar Shootkir Market to search through the crowds for a dry fish stand. In one of the bags, a red fish is hidden in a sea of hundreds of neutral color fish. Once they find the colored fish, they will get the next clue. James and Jaymes describe it as finding the scoop in the protein powder. As a protein user, I can agree to this statement. That scoop is always in the middle of the bottom of the tub.
Rob and Kelley and The Twins are hot on Abbie and Ryan’s heels.
