Alakanuk Airport Opens with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On Sep. 28, the Alakanuk Airport held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating its official opening.

The Alaska Dept. of Transportation and Public Facilities began the project in 2002 and work was completed in Sep. 2012 with a price tag of $33 million with funding by the Federal Aviation Administration.
