ALASKA—
The winner for the month was Max Treece-Noran of Alpenglow Elementary in Eagle River. His winning entry was submitted by Debbie Treece. As submitted by Debbie Treece -- Max is an excellent student, enjoys art and building models, and loves to learn everything with regards to social studies and science. After volunteering as a peer mediator, student council member, Cub Scout and choir member in the past few years, he has returned to play hockey for a small local team, the Glacier Bears.
Max's life has not always been easy as his father passed away when Max was only eighteen-months-old and as a single mom raising three boys and continuing my career in education, we've had our struggles.
Max's current career goals are to play in the NHL, design video games, or work in the field of science or history. Those goals may or may not change in the future, but regardless of his dreams, he will always have my love and support in whatever he strives for.
