Photo Gallery: Knik Glacier Wreckage Is From Military Crash That Killed 52

A military plane crash found near Knik Glacier in June 2012 has been identified as a Korean War-era Air Force C-124A Globemaster II cargo plane that crashed on Nov. 22, 1952, killing all 52 people on board. Archival photos and newspaper clippings describe the plane's loss and the initial discovery of its wreckage, while modern images show the site where the plane's remains were relocated by glacial movement.
