On Saturday, hundreds of friends and family members gathered at the Bear Tooth Theatrepub to remember the life of T.R.E.L. Zawko.

Zawko was found dead in his midtown garage Friday, January 18.  Anchorage police continue to investigate the case as a homicide and few details have been released.

It was the first time a memorial service was held at the Bear Tooth.  The venue was chosen because Zawko had worked there as a pizza cook and had a connection to the location and the staff.

Jayme Friske, who worked with Zawko at the Bear Tooth, said the amount of people who attended and the stories that they shared were a testament to how many lives Zawko had touched.  "His legacy will live on," he said, "in the hearts of every individual that he has come to know in his short life."
