Taken during the sixth annual Miniature Golf Tournament, 2012 (Alaska SeaLife Center / March 24, 2012) |
The Alaska SeaLife Center will host its seventh annual Miniature Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 6. All proceeds will benefit the Center's Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation program.
This year, 30 teams of four -- plus each team's caddies and guests -- will play through a 15-hole course laid throughout the Center, amongst the exhibits and some behind-the-scenes areas.
It costs $250 to register a team of four people. Up to two non-playing guests may join each team for $25 per guest. Registration fees include the beer, wine, soda, and snacks served throughout the tournament, so only individuals 21 years of age or older may participate in this event.
This mini golf tournament began seven years ago and has grown to be one of the most popular events the SeaLife center hosts. The golf course layout changes yearly, but the evening's purpose remains the same: raising money to help rehabilitate stranded marine animals.
