Photo Gallery: Seward Highway Reopens as Police Seek Armed Kidnapper
Heavily armed Anchorage Police Department officers and Alaska State Troopers conducted a search of the Seward Highway near Turnagain Pass Friday after an 18-year-old man was abducted and forced to drive his pickup truck south at gunpoint. The highway reopened at 3:30 p.m. Friday, and a search for the suspect was suspended at about 4:45 p.m.; an investigation of the incident continues.
