Photo Gallery: Turbine Tests at Chugach Electric Plant Produce Steam Clouds
Chugach Electric's new gas-fired power plant on Electron Drive has been producing large steam clouds, visible across Anchorage, during testing of gas turbine units. Chugach spokesperson Sarah Wiggers says the tests will end next week, and that the plant won't produce a visible plume while it's operating.
