George Albert looked up over thick-rimmed glasses to study the threading pattern William McCarty IV was using to create the webbing of a traditional Athabascan snowshoe.
"Mammoths and Mastodons," an exhibit featuring the Ice-Age cousins of the elephant, comes to the Anchorage Museum. The exhibit opens to the public March 4 and will run through Oct. 9. The exhibit is a part of the Field Museum in Chicago, and features numerous hands-on displays.
There has been great weather this summer to enjoy the great outdoors, but rain can come without notice and quickly put a damper on plans.
