Vernon

The snow covered flat roof over the service area of the former Clyde Chevrolet dealership in Rte. 83 in Vernon collapsed at 7:10 Monday morning due to the weight of the snow. No one was injured when the roof came down on the abandoned building. In photo, Kevin Driscoll of South Windsor walks by the collapsed garage where he had stored his father's 1985 Mercedes, which can be seen at left amidst the rubble. Driscoll thought it was ironic that he had stored his father's car here for safe keeping while the garage at his father's condo was being renovated. "Maybe it's just scratched," he said.
