( Diane Cebula, Daily Press / October 1, 2009 ) An aerial photograph of four aircraft carriers at Northrop Grumman ship yards taken on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009. The four carriers, from foreground to background, are the U.S.S. George H.W. Bush, the U.S.S. Carl Vinson, the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt and the U.S.S. Enterprise. This is the first time in Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding-Newport News history that four, in service, aircraft carriers are present at the yard, at one time. |
