State National Guard Soldiers Headed To Asia

( Richard Messina, Hartford Courant / July 31, 2012 ) Approximately 140 Soldiers of the 143rd Military Police Company of West Hartford, and 120 Soldiers of the 248th Engineer Company of Norwich, will deploy to Southwest Asia later this month and a send-off ceremony was held Tuesday afternoon at the William A. O'Neill Armory in Hartford. Kevin Andrade, holds his one-year-old son, harrison, as his wife Jennifer looks on. Jennifer, of Sterling, had a sister, Stephanie Pratt, who is also in the national guard and will be leaving at the end of the month in the same company. |
