Pilot: We don't really see the shuttle pilot in this Bollywood drama, which follows Mohan Bhargava (Shah Rukh Khan), the project manager of NASA's Global Precipitation Measurement Satellite Project, as he returns to India and tries to help his village there.
Shuttle mission: The rainfall-monitoring satellite is lifted into orbit aboard the shuttle. But Bhargava's mission is to reconnect with his Indian roots and to build a reservoir there, powering a hydro-electric power plant for his village.
Outcome: Both the NASA project and the power plant are successful. Bhargava eventually leaves his prestigious NASA position and returns to India to his village and his sweetheart.
