( The Norton Simon Foundation ) This looks more like a big party than a religious event, and actually it is both. It's "Marriage at Cana," where Jesus performed his first miracle. His mother whispered to him that there was no more wine, and Jesus turned the water into wine. He is hard to find, standing on the left by an archway and under the smallest of haloes. Musicians are playing in the balcony above, with a very daring woman in a red dress sitting on the railing. |
