Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines charity as "benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity." And in a nutshell, that is what The Herald-Mail Nonprofit Wish List hopes to encourage with this list.
This list is a two-step project. The first was a call-out to local nonprofits to give us their lists that included mostly tangible items they needed to help their organizations continue their missions.
The second is this list.
In order for nonprofits to have their wishes granted, it is up to you, our readers, to help. Pick a nonprofit that you know or maybe choose one whose mission is close to your heart. You don't have to take them everything on their list (they would love that, but they're not expecting it) and drop it off at the designated location.
You can even pick several of the nonprofits and grant a wish from each. It's up to you, which one you choose, but just give.
We'll check in after Christmas to see how these nonprofits did with our local holiday helpers.
Happy holidays
