Dave and David are transplants from the lower 48 but have been living in Healy for years. They, and another business partner, own three businesses in the Canyon. The Salmon Bake, and Prospectors Pizza are local favorites.
At Prospectors the owners wanted to bring hand-tossed uniquely Alaskan pizzas back to the area. One of the choices, a pizza served with king crab legs and drawn butter.

Both men say they love working in near the park and that's why they chose to open a business near it. "There's a passion and a love for what we do. We love living in the area so what drove us to be here is what drove us to have good food in our area, " says David McCarthy
