Senator Albert Kookesh, a Democrat from Angoon, represents Senate District C in the Alaska legislature, the largest legislative district in the United States. He was first elected to the State House of Representatives in1996. Kookesh, who is a Tlingit of the Eagle-Bear Clan, is also Co-Chair of the Alaska Federation of Natives Board of Directors.
