If you have a few more Christmas parties to go to before the new year, a free service is available to help motorists get home safely during the holidays.
AAA is partnering with Vulcan Towing to offer its Operation Tipsy Tow service for the first time in Anchorage. According to AAA the holiday season can be a particularly dangerous time for motorists, because more people are out celebrating and some choose to drive impaired.
Operation Tipsy Tow offers holiday revelers a free and confidential ride home and a vehicle tow of up to 10 miles inside Anchorage city limits.
The program is open to the public starting Friday through Jan. 1.
For towing assistance, just call Operation Tipsy Tow at 1-800-AAA-HELP.
