At least 50 riders are biking across the U.S. in bicycle cars called Velomobiles to promote the vehicle's abilities to save money and travel long distance.
The riders started in Portland, Ore., on July 28 and are destined to reach Washington D.C. by Aug. 26.
Many riders are from Holland, Netherlands, and other riders joined en route to the nation's capitol.
