ANCHORAGE, Alaska—An unlikely candidate has surfaced in the U.S. Senate race’s write-in ballots. Anti-Obama protester Sidney Hill has the second-highest tally of write-in votes behind Sen. Lisa Murkowski, with nine votes so far.
Hill was arrested in August at the Alaska State Fair after fair officials said he was causing a disturbance on private property, calling for the President Obama's impeachment.
He was asked to leave and refused, then was arrested. Fair security found he was armed, which is against fair rules.
A video of Hill’s arrest was posted on YouTube and sparked a debate about freedom of speech.
