Anchorage Republican Sen. Lesil McGuire says some of her campaign signs have been stolen.
McGuire, in a statement, says the signs would require a big truck and several people to place them and to have several go missing from around Anchorage shows a "coordinated and deliberate effort."
Her campaign says it has filed a police report.
McGuire says at the core of the Tea Party movement and GOP platform is a "deep respect for private property rights."
She says candidates have a responsibility to lead by example and make clear to volunteers and supporters that their actions reflect on the campaigns.
Her opponent in this month's primary, Jeff Landfield, said he wouldn't condone anyone taking signs, and hadn't heard about the missing signs until told about them by a reporter.
