Update: A link to Mayor Sullivan's full 2013 budget proposal can be found here.

Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan is scheduled to release his 2013 spending proposal for the city at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, according to Sullivan's communications director, Lindsey Whitt.

The release time had originally been set for 4 p.m., but then pushed back a half hour on Tuesday.

Early projections from the mayor's office indicate a potential budget shortfall of up to $30 million, with budget reductions likely affecting most departments.

Sullivan's office told Channel 2 News that Sullivan will not be available for comment on the budget until the day after it's released.

"The mayor's schedule does not allow for comment to the media until the weekly press briefing on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.," Whitt wrote in an email.  Whitt said that Lucinda Mahoney, the city's chief fiscal officer, would also be unavailable until that time.

The Anchorage Assembly must approve the 2013 budget before it is put into place.
