The fundraiser was hosted at the West Anchorage home of gubernatorial candidate Bill Walker -- but opponents Gov. Sean Parnell and Ralph Samuels were also there as co-hosts.
Other co-hosts included candidates for lieutenant governor Eddie Burke, Mead Treadwell and Jay Ramras; U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller; and Rep. Don Young and his challenger, Sheldon Fisher. Sen. Lisa Murkowski was also in attendance.
The candidates say they all agree on supporting Proposition 2, a ballot measure providing for parental notification of teenagers' abortions backed by Alaskans for Parental Rights.
"This is an issue that everybody feels united on, and so it's just sort of -- I think it's a good sign that a group of folks that have been sort of on the (campaign) trail around the state have said, ‘Let's take a night off and do what we all agree on,'" Walker said.
"I don't think this has anything to do with the candidates or anyone who is running for office," said Rhiannon Good with the No on 2 campaign. "I think this is about families and how families communicate, and whether or not the government belongs in that type of communication."
The primary election is Aug. 24.
