The mother of a missing Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson airman arrived in Anchorage on Tuesday searching for her son and held a media briefing on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Airman Clinton Reeves was last heard from on April 22. He didn’t report for work at JBER. He didn't report for duty the next day, and Judy Davis said her son told her he was looking to buy a used car off Craigslist.
Reeves’ rental car, a red 2012 Dodge Avenger, was found abandoned with the keys still inside the ignition on the 300 block of McCarrey Street. Anchorage police said on Wednesday that they believe that car is central to finding Reeves.
Davis said she would spend most of Wednesday evening putting up flyers in the hope that someone will remember seeing Reeves, who has lived in Alaska for about two years and recently received his promotion to senior airman.
“If anybody knows anything, please, I’m a very forgiving mom, please, if it’s an accident or anything, please just contact the Anchorage police and just bring my son home.” Davis said.
The pair spoke or texted almost daily until Reeves disappeared. Davis said she’s worried the situation won’t end well.
“My gut tells me it’s not good if he’s been gone this long.” Davis said.
If you have any information about Clinton Reeves or his abandoned red Dodge Avenger, call police at 786-8900.
