FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska—
The Defense Department says a 19-year-old soldier from New York who was based at Alaska's Fort Wainwright has died in Afghanistan.The military said Tuesday that Pvt. Danny Chen died Monday in Kandahar province. No details of his death were provided.
Chen was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Fort Wainwright.
