Four Alaskans traveled to Westchester County, New York to help restore power to the area.

The four linemen work for an electric company based in Seattle, Washington and were sent to New York when the Nor'easter winter storm hit the East Coast.

Andy Korzeniewski, a lineman for Michaels Electrical Supply Corp.,  said they arrived in the East Coast on Tuesday evening.

Korzeniewski said Westchester received 6 inches of new snow since he had been there and the wind and wet snow made his job challenging.

Korzeniewski said, "We got most of the people in Westchester County. We had 90 percent back on for power and most of their utility crews will take over from there."

Korzeniewski said once Westchester County is restored, they'll continue moving to assist areas that are closer to the ocean.
