ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
An Ambler man was arrested on charges including robbery, theft and criminal mischief after allegedly damaging a child’s bicycle Saturday, according to Alaska State Troopers.Troopers in Ambler arrested Charlie Penn, 40, at about 1 p.m. Saturday.
“Investigation revealed Penn forcibly took a bicycle from a child who had been riding the bicycle,” troopers wrote in an AST dispatch Monday afternoon. “Penn then threw the bicycle into a stream and smashed it with a boulder.”
Penn has been charged with second-degree robbery, as well as third-degree theft and criminal mischief. He was transported to the Kotzebue Regional Jail, where he was remanded pending arraignment.
