Anchorage police are warning residents of the city ban on fireworks and that it will enforce the ordinance on July 4th.

There is a public fireworks display scheduled Tuesday at midnight after the Glacier Pilots-Bucs doubleheader at Mulcahy Stadium in midtown. The first game starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at the gates, which opens at 6 p.m.

The fine for fireworks is $300 and the Anchorage Municipal code bans the sale or the possession by the public.

Eagle River will also have a public fireworks display at mile 1.5 of Eagle River Road, Lions Park at midnight, July 3. Eagle River’s festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a community wide celebration.
