Anchorage police have identified a woman whose remains were found Wednesday in a wooded area near Dowling Road.
According to APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker, 24-year-old Michelle Felber was reported missing Monday by family members who hadn’t seen her for at least two months.
Felber’s remains were found at about 11 a.m. Wednesday by a man who had dropped off his car at an auto repair shop near Dowling’s intersection with Quinhagak Street, then walked through woods to find a trail back to his house.
Parker says Felber’s cause of death has not been released, as homicide detectives investigate the case. More details will be released as they become available.
