The Anchorage Police Department arrested a 27-year-old soldier Friday for possession and distribution of child pornography.
Lt Dave Parker, APD Public Information Officer, said that Jason M. Wagler allegedly had hundreds of images and videos of child porn on his computers.
A joint investigation with Anchorage police detectives, Army Criminal Investigation Command agents, and the Alaska Office of Children’s Services began several months ago in June.
Police said that Wagler had sent detectives images and videos of depicting the sexual exploitation of children.
Wagler has been charged with three counts of distribution of child pornography and six counts of possession and will be arraigned Saturday.
