Anchorage Vigil Planned for Connecticut School Shooting (KTUU / December 15, 2012) |
ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
A local faith-based organization has planned a vigil following the deadly school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
The citywide gathering is hosted by AFACT "Anchorage Faith & Action - Congregations Together."
The vigil will be from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17 at Central Lutheran Church on 1420 Cordova Street.
The Associated Press reports that 26 children and adults were killed Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
