Kendra Taber is running for the Anchorage Assembly to represent the West side. |
Note: In lieu of submitting answers to Channel 2's Municipal Candidate Questionnaire, Taber submitted the following statement:
My name is Kendra Taber, most people know me as Sandy from my frequent appearances on afternoon radio. I am running for the Assembly from the Westside, because I am disgusted with the corruption in City Hall and the Assembly.
The former Mayor and the Assembly did not do their jobs, the money is missing and they are responsible and should make good the loss, not the people of Anchorage.
I am against raising taxes--I am for seriously CUTTING TAXES. Raising taxes = Higher rents and more homeless people. Raising taxes also adds to the burden on business and leads to lay-offs and less job opportunities. NO Interference with business and No cigarette tax.
I am against hotel rooms for winos. I am for hotel rooms for sofa surfing working people. (with laundry facilities). It is an Alaskan Tradition to aid one another in bad times. When we stand together we can, and will, prosper.
