Anchorage police say Letitia Baxter’s cause of death has been ruled inconclusive, more than two months after remains found in Earthquake Park were identified as hers.
APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker says results came back from the state medical examiner’s office Wednesday.
Baxter was reported missing in early August, prompting APD to conduct an initial search for her and a second one in September from Goose Lake Park to Cook Inlet.
Parker says the new information doesn't necessarily close the case on Baxter's death.
"It's still one of those things where the investigation can go on if new information comes in, but there are no indications of foul play at this point," Parker said.
