Anchorage police are looking for help in identifying a woman who committed an armed robbery at a Midtown tobacco shop Tuesday afternoon.
According to APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker, the woman was seen brandishing a pistol on security cameras at the Alaska Tobacco shop at 751 E 36th Ave., which was robbed shortly after 4:15 p.m.
Police describe the suspect as an Asian woman 20 to 25 years old and standing 5 feet, 3 inches tall weighing about 120 pounds. Her clothes included a purple North Face jacket, sunglasses, a black head band, blue jeans and tan boots.
Anyone with information about the woman is asked to call APD at 786-8900.
