FAIRBANKS, Alaska—
Avalanches are causing travel problems on a stretch of the Dalton Highway.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports crews are clearing snow off the highway just south of Atigun Pass on Thursday morning.
Officials have issued a travel advisory between Miles 240-245.
Blowing and drifting snow from high winds also are making for poor visibility. Drivers are urged to use caution.
