ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
A gathering Friday evening highlighted one of Alaska's biggest issues, the suicide epidemic.
A group at Anchorage's town square held a candlelight vigil for those who have lost their lives to suicide.
Organizers with Alaska Thick Mamis said the event focused on young people who may be affected by the job market or family situations or just for anyone who is having trouble with internalizing personal problems.
The event started off with a flash dancing mob to bring people together and raise awareness.
The dance was choreographed by Leslie Kimiko Ward, founder of 1000 Cranes for Alaska, and a Youtube video was released earlier this week.
