A major natural gas pipeline in Alaska would carry up to 3.5 billion cubic feet of gas a day and include five off-take points to provide gas for Alaskans.
That's according to the companies behind the proposed liquefied natural gas project, Exxon Mobil, BP, ConocoPhillips and TransCanada Corp.
Gov. Sean Parnell set Friday as the deadline for the companies to select a project concept.
The companies released details about the line and gas treatment and liquefaction plants. They have not yet announced a terminus, though they have said it would be somewhere in south-central Alaska.
In their letter to Parnell, they reiterated their desire for a "competitive, predictable and durable" oil and gas tax structure as they move forward.
The companies previously said the project could cost over $65 billion.

Are they detailing why the American taxpayers are paying for a foreign nation's pipeline to carry America's resource so they can sell it back to us at jacked up prices?
