Anchorage police have responded to a Tuesday afternoon shooting at the 2800 block of W International Airport Road where one man was wounded.
The shooting happened shortly after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday inside a condo at the Alaska Landings complex, according to the Anchorage Police Department.
Dani Myren, APD spokesperson, said that an adult male was taken to the hospital in serious condition, and police did not know if his injuries were life-threatening.
A police officer on scene confirmed to Channel 2 News that the victim was shot multiple times and that police were looking for a suspect, but did not release a suspect description.
“The public doesn’t need to worry because this doesn’t appear to be a random act, so there’s not a loose gunman that’s going to go around shooting people,” APD Sgt. Michael Kerle said.
