Anchorage police are asking for the public’s aid in identifying a suspect in a robbery last month at an East Anchorage tanning salon.

According to APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker, a Caucasian male seen on surveillance video at Color Me Tan entered the store, on the 6300 block of DeBarr Road, at about 9:45 p.m. Oct. 27. He then robbed the clerk, taking money and pushing her to the floor during the incident.

Police say the man was in his forties and stands 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing about 250 pounds.

Anyone with information about a possible suspect is asked to immediately call APD at 786-8900.

Editor's note: An erroneous reference to the robbery having occurred last week has been corrected.
