Anchorage police say two brothers arrested last year and charged with dozens of sexual assaults against minors over the last several decades may have had additional victims, prompting a Wednesday call for them to come forward to investigators.

APD spokesperson Anita Shell says 56-year-old Mark King was arrested on Sept. 19, while 54-year-old Craig King was arrested on New Year’s Eve. Mark King faces 13 counts of sexual abuse of a minor, while Craig King has been charged with 17 counts of the same crime.

“Detectives looked into the history of the two brothers and discovered alleged victims, both family members and acquaintances, dating back to the (1970s),” Shell wrote in a Wednesday statement on the case. “All appear to be unreported.”

Police say the King brothers lived together on Dolly Varden Avenue and had access to children through family members, but didn’t have jobs working with children or participate in youth activities.

Anyone with knowledge of other people sexually abused by Mark or Craig King is asked to call APD at 786-8900.
