ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
An Arizona man was sentenced to 5 years in federal prison for growing more than a thousand marijuana plants.
20-year-old Nathanael Harshman, of Tucson, Arizona and formerly of Fairbanks, Alaska received his sentence in federal court Wednesday in Fairbanks.
He pleaded guilty to conspiracy and also one count of manufacturing a drug. Harshman admitted to growing marijuana plants intended to sale and was one of several people involved in a “cooperative venture.”
The court also said that Harshman had possessed handguns and ammunition in connection with the commercial operation.
