Fairbanks police have arrested a suspect Friday morning in connection with the death of a North Pole woman found near the Richardson Highway several months ago.
35-year-old Nyrobbie Chandler has been charged with first-degree murder and three counts of tampering with physical evidence with the death of 31-year-old Kaylynn Bishop.
On May 9, her body was found partially buried behind a junked abandoned vehicle in a wooded area near a pond near mile 357 of the Richardson highway.
Police said Chandler and Bishop were in a dating relationship at the time of her death.
Her body was ruled a homicide after an autopsy was performed and Fairbanks police said it would release any other details on the manner of her death.
Bishop was reported to be a longtime resident of North Pole and worked at the Hide Out Bar and Grill and the College Road Taco Bell.
Anyone with information about Bishop’s death is asked to call the Fairbanks Police Department at 450-6550 or Detective Peyton Merideth at 450-6553.
