SITKA, Alaska—
Sitka police say the Alaska medical examiner's office has determined that hypothermiacaused the death of a 37-year-old man whose body was found outside in December.Police continue to investigate the death of Henry C. "Chuck" Johnson and are seeking information about his whereabouts before his body was found Dec. 18 at the edge of a parking lot on Harbor Mountain Road.
Det. Ryan Silva says Johnson was last seen playing pool about 1 a.m. that day at Ernie's Old Time Saloon.
The Daily Sitka Sentinel (http://bit.ly/ytNzDl) says Johnson reportedly left after getting a phone call. His body was found about seven hours later.
The autopsy concluded Johnson had alcohol and morphine in his system, but hypothermia caused the death.
Silva says there were no signs of physical trauma.
