Anchorage Police say as of Sunday, they are searching for the suspect in a stabbing that injured one and killed another.
Police say a call came in about 10:45 pm Saturday that a stabbing happened at 11th Avenue and Hyder Street.
According to Police, both victims were taken to a local hospital. One of the victims was decleared deceased at the hospital, the other victim was treated and later released.
Police are still searching for a suspect who was described as a dark skinned black male in his late 30's, five foot eight inches tall and 180 pounds. The suspect was wearing a tan Carhartt jacket, a lighter colored pair of tan pants and yellowish boots. Police believe the suspect has a shaved head or very short hair, a goatee, and speaks with a heavy accent, described as Jamaican or African.
The suspect was last seen riding a woman's black mountain bike with grey lettering and a red flashing light on the rear.
