As the search for Samantha Koenig continues, the family is focusing on getting the word out, any way they can. Samantha's mother, Darlene Christiansen, said on Monday, that the past five days have been a nightmare for her family. She says all she wants is to have Samantha safe and back home.
"I feel like somebody has ripped the life out of me... It's undescribable," says Christiansen. " It could be a stranger, it's the not knowing."
With Samantha's grandmother and cousin by her side, Christiansen described her daughter as a beautiful, bubby, and compassionate person. She says she is dealing with a situation that no mother should ever have to go through. Christiansen's own mother, Florence Milton, says when the family heard the news, no one could believe what had happened.
"We keep waiting for some good news," says Milton. "I wait for the phone to ring saying they found Samantha. Just waiting and waiting."
Both say they are pleading the person who abducted her, to release her.
"I love her, we love Sam. We want Sam home so bad," says Milton.
