The search for Samantha Koenig, the 18-year-old Anchorage barista abducted from her Midtown coffee stand one week ago, remains in progress -- but Anchorage police have not named any suspects or persons of interest in her disappearance.
According to APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker, surveillance footage taken from Common Grounds Espresso on Tudor Road and Fairbanks Street shows Koenig reacting in fear to an armed man at about 8 p.m. on the night of Feb. 1. The two then reportedly left on foot headed west.
Parker says APD has not released the footage because officers say people could not make a positive identification of the suspect.
The department is working with the FBI, and detectives have interviewed dozens of witnesses.
For days, family and friends have been wearing green ribbons in honor of Koenig's favorite color, and have pleaded for Koenig's return. Flyers are posted all over Alaska, and there is a $41,000 reward.
