A man who said he intended to sell heroin to pay back money he owed his grandmother faces robbery and drug charges.
Jason Obryan faces a six-count indictment in Fairbanks along with co-defendant James N. Cook.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports a woman told police Obryan robbed her of $500 in a parking lot on Jan. 30.
Police interviewing Cook learned that he drove Obryan to the parking lot.
He said he briefly left the vehicle, and when he returned, Obryan ran toward him, told him he had just committed a robbery and urged him to drive away quickly.
When interviewed by state troopers, Obryan said he went to the parking lot to get some heroin he was going to sell to pay back money he owed his grandmother.

Why are we wasting money and time on the bottom feeders, and not using them to catch the big fish. For nearly 50 years, I have watched nothing learned by the State. Its almost like its a pretend war. Im sure there is ALOT of money changing hands. Maybe we should looking at the fact that nothing is changing. Perhaps continue to take a look at who is enforcing the law. Im sure it hasnt stopped with Rollens, Cohen, and the other dirty folks.
