Three people have been charged with offenses including burglary and criminal trespass in a November break-in at the Newhalen School, according to Alaska State Troopers.

A Tuesday AST dispatch says 19-year-old Travis Hobson of Nondalton was charged and arraigned Monday in Naknek on charges of second-degree burglary and criminal trespass, as well as tampering with physical evidence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Two girls also charged in the incident each face juvenile-court charges of second-degree burglary and criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree theft.

Troopers say the school sustained several thousand dollars in damage during the break-in, which was reported Nov. 5 and investigated by troopers from Iliamna.
