Alaska State Troopers arrested a 16-year-old Homer boy Sunday evening in connection with a sexual assault on a 17-year-old boy last month for which two men are already in custody.
According to a Monday AST dispatch, troopers arrested the unidentified boy at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday. He has been remanded to the Kenai Youth Facility on a charge of second-degree sexual assault.
Brothers Anthony Resetarits, a 20-year-old University of Alaska Anchorage student, and Joseph Resetarits, an 18-year-old former Homer High School football player, have also been charged with the same offense.
Charging documents say staff at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer, where the victim was treated, alerted troopers on Sept. 10 that he had been assaulted with a beer bottle at a Sept. 8 party. Investigating troopers simultaneously arrested the Resitarits brothers on the morning of Oct. 4 after recovering multiple photos of the party and the incident.
