ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
A magnitude 3.9 earthquake was recorded in Southern Alaska at 8:22 a.m. on Friday, according to USGS.
A seismologist reviewed the data and and the info was updated on the United States Geological Survey's site.
The quake initially registered at 4.0 magnitude.
It happened 16 miles southwest of Anchorage.
The magnitude of the quake will not generate a tsnuami, according to the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center.
